Short quote follow-up texts that sound human
The useful text is usually the short one: who you are, which quote, why you are messaging, and an easy next step.
After one or two business days
Hi Sam, just checking the quote for the bathroom tap replacement reached you okay. Happy to answer any questions. — Blue Gum Plumbing
After three to five business days
Hi Sam, have you had a chance to look over the tap replacement quote? No pressure—happy to clarify the scope, timing, or options.
When real availability matters
Hi Sam, a quick availability update: our current next start window is the week of 24 August. If that timing suits, I can explain the booking step.
Only use an availability message when the window is true. Do not imply a slot is reserved unless it actually is.
When you need a decision
Hi Sam, would you like to proceed, revisit the scope, or leave the quote for now? Any answer is helpful. — Blue Gum Plumbing
When it is time to stop
Hi Sam, I haven’t heard back, so I’ll close the quote for now rather than keep chasing. Reply later if you want me to confirm current pricing and availability.
SMS checklist
Identify the business. Mention the job, not sensitive details. Keep one purpose per message. Avoid link shorteners, all caps, fake urgency, repeated texts, and contacting someone who asked you to stop.
